Dado - Chair rail - height, room panelling showing the fielded central panels, the surrounding panel bead, the deep dado rail and skirting returned upon themselves at the door architrave (not sufficient depth), the traditional bead on the corner, the higher skirting (dado rail height permitted) to take power points after our work and the hard wood floor boarder following our panelling which was laid after our installation.

Original panel behind the chair
The original panelling was matched in my design to be made in mdf and softwood to replicate the bolection panel molding, the soft wood cornice, the dado rail and the skirting. The resulting central cupboard was painted internally and externally to match the existing old pine panels. The chair is resting against the original panels the “returned” cupboard with the fittings inside is our design to harmonize and, as best we could, copy the existing.
Added cupboard and dado which I designed with original panels behind.
My designed cupboard, dado and bolection panel moulding to match existing behind the chair.
