				Single cornice, dentil over fluted pilaster


	Simon Spencer designed this bookcase with dropped side cornices with dentil and mirrored pilaster with light fitting for this classical book case.

		The mixture of the high cornice with a dentil and the lower cornice with lighter pilasters, gives scope to the skill of the painter in finishing this bookcase. Without Simon’s detailed design and working drawings the decorative painters often have a very limited scope for their work.

Fielded panelled door, rebated lower pilasters, fluted upper side pilasters, mirrored central pilasters and detail showing scribed sides of the back of the book case and cupboards below over the room’s skirting are all part of Simon Spencer’s design concept in this bookcase.
