This traditionally appointed bedroom, with mahogany wardrobe and dressing chest, was not sufficiently utilized for a teenage daughter due to study and working for her place at University. Simon was asked to re-plan and design it to improve the fitted bedroom furniture, provide a work area and have some bookshelves. He felt it important to retain the period and atmosphere of the 1930’s building. One can see how Simon Spencer Designs replicated the style of some of the mouldings, from the very large image of the door, it’s panel, architrave and the cornice on the page of Details. Once he had planned the design and the existing furniture was re-house the manufacturers moved in and fitted out the room as shown below.
