The study in the Attic is an ideal solution to shortage of space. Simon Spencer designed these book cases. Simon Spencer will design and use space for you, to best advantage, just as he has done here.
Simon Spencer designed this tiny study with its built in home office furniture shows that working in tight spaces, to include book shelves and filing areas, can be designed by by him to great effect.
In this room on a landing, which was too small to have a bed, Simon Spencer designed a conversion solution to an otherwise dead storage space into an effective home office from which his client could work comfortably and profitably from home by the use of built in book cases, work top, filing and cupboards.
A full width built in book case with a kneehole desk and TV corner. Not the conventionally designed study but one that answers the small, home office, question.
Two illustrations of a design Simon Spencer produced for a standard small breakfront bookcase with kneehole which was part of a productive run for his former employer, for whom he did all the design work for over 25 years, Thistle Joinery Ltd. This can be used by a child to do their homework (and at university) as effectively as a Company Director working from home as a home office. A unique and classic design by Simon Spencer.
These two built in book cases were designed by Simon Spencer to suit the desk in the window so that his client could have her books around her and have an additional workspace on the specially designed and panelled recess for the table. The cupboards on the other side gave valuable storage for consumable such as paper etc. which were required to be to hand during working in her own home office.
